Makers Market returns to the Northern Quarter

Cllr Kevin Peel stocking up at the trial NQ market earlier this year!

Councillors welcome the return of the Makers Market following a trial period earlier this year.

The successful markets we saw in the Northern Quarter earlier this year are back from November, offering food, drink, art, design and crafts to local residents and visitors.

Delivered by the Makers Market, the new market will bring together a mix of creative and food talent with music performers and street artists for the launch event on Sunday 8th November. The first event will run from 11am to 5pm in Stevenson Square.

Northern Quarter resident and local councillor Kevin Peel said:

"I'm really excited to see the market return after the trial period we really pushed for earlier in the year to test the response. I had a great time at the market stocking up on handmade bath bombs and new plants for my flat and of course lots of cake! I can't wait to visit the new one and encourage residents to get down and make sure it is a big success."
